Dance Design Terms & Conditions
1. General Guidelines
1.1 By enrolling in Dance Design’s dance classes, workshops, or events, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.2 Dance Design reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Enrollment & Payments
2.1 All fees must be paid in advance to avail of discount offers, which are available only with pre-registration.
2.2 Trial or demo classes are chargeable, and fees must be paid in advance or on the spot.
2.3 Discounts are applicable only at the time of new registration or before the expiry date, as per the school’s discretion.
2.4 All class fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to someone else by you. Please ensure you inform us 24 hours before the class about the change. If the school cancels a class, a make-up class will be offered. Private class cancellations require 24-hour notice to reschedule.
2.5 Class packages have an expiration date and must be used within the specified time frame, as mentioned on the attendance card.
2.6 Private classes must be scheduled in advance, and cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule.
3. Class Conduct & Etiquette
3.1 Students must arrive on time. Late arrivals must catch up without disrupting the class.
3.2 Respect fellow students and instructors at all times. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may lead to suspension or expulsion.
3.3 Proper hygiene is required. Students are advised to bring socks, a water bottle, mouth freshener, and deodorant or perfume. Comfortable clothing and Latin dance shoes or socks are recommended.
3.4 No outside shoes are allowed on the dance floor to maintain cleanliness and safety.
3.5 The use of mobile phones during class is discouraged, except for doctors on call, emergencies\.
4. Attendance & Make-Up Classes
4.1 Missed group classes cannot be refunded but may be carried forward.
4.2 Students may attend a make-up class within the validity period of their package, subject to class availability, at any Dance Design center in Mumbai.
4.3 If a class is canceled by Dance Design, a replacement class will be scheduled based on the remaining number of classes in the batch.
5. Health & Safety
5.1 Students participate at their own risk. Dance Design is not liable for injuries sustained during classes or events.
5.2 Students must inform instructors of any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries before class. If at any point you would like to rest during class, feel free to do so.
5.3 The consumption of alcohol or drugs before class is strictly prohibited, as it impairs judgment and compromises the safety and experience of your dance partner.
6. Media & Photography
6.1 By participating, you consent to photos and videos being taken during classes and events for promotional purposes.
6.2 If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the Dance Design staff in advance.
6.3 Dance Design owns the intellectual property (IP) and copyright of all content recorded in class.
6.4 Any class videos shared on social media must give proper credit to @dancedesignindia.
6.5 Students are always allowed to post what they learn in class and any interpretation of it.
7. Code of Conduct for Social Dancing & Events
7.1 Social Dancing Etiquette
Social dancing is a shared experience that relies on mutual respect and communication. When dancing with a partner:
• Maintain good personal hygiene.
• Lead and follow with clarity, avoiding forceful movements.
• Be mindful of personal space and your partner’s comfort.
• Adjust your dancing to the level of your partner to ensure an enjoyable experience for both.
• Always thank your partner after a dance.
7.2 No Means No
Consent is essential in social dancing. If someone declines a dance, respect their decision without question or pressure. No one is obligated to accept a dance, and repeated unwanted requests can be considered harassment.
7.3 Event Tickets & Refund Policy
Event tickets and passes are non-refundable, unless the event is canceled by Dance Design or due to a force majeure event (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, or unforeseen emergencies).
7.4 Zero Tolerance for Assault, Harassment & Lack of Consent
Dance Design maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any form of assault, harassment, or violation of consent. Any individual engaging in such behavior will be immediately removed without a refund. Further communal or legal action may be taken, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
8. Liability Waiver
8.1 Dance Design is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or damaged on the premises.
8.2 By enrolling, you acknowledge that dancing is a physical activity, and you assume full responsibility for any risks or injuries.
9. Instructor & Schedule Changes
9.1 Dance Design reserves the right to change instructors or schedules as needed.
9.2 Instructors may be substituted without prior notice if required.
10. Termination of Enrollment
10.1 Dance Design reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any student who violates these terms and conditions.
10.2 No refunds will be issued in cases of expulsion due to misconduct.
