💬✨General Questions

I’ve never danced before. Can I still join?

Absolutely! We welcome beginners every two months with a new batch. The first week of each schedule includes Pre-Registrations, Trial Classes, or On-The-Spot Registrations for Salsa and Bachata so you can experience the class before enrolling. Our Beginner - Level 1 course is progressive, so you can join until the second week of the schedule, or at most the third week if you can catch up. If you miss this window, you can join the next batch.

Does age matter when learning Salsa or Bachata?

Not at all! Our classes are open to anyone aged 11 and above. If you have medical concerns, let our instructors know in advance.

What language are the classes taught in?

Our primary languages are English and Hindi, but some instructors can also assist in Marathi, German, and Basic Spanish upon request. Don’t worry if you’re not fluent—dance is a universal language!

I have two left feet. Can I still learn?

Of course! Our classes are beginner-friendly, and with regular practice, you’ll gain confidence and improve. Our instructors make learning fun and stress-free.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement. Light workout wear is best. For footwear, socks, flat shoes, or dance shoes with smooth soles are recommended—no need for heels or formal shoes at the beginner level. For social dance nights, feel free to dress up!

📚🕺Class & Course-Related Questions

Do I need a partner for Bachata or Salsa?

No! You can join alone or with a partner. We use a rotating partner system to help you learn faster. If you prefer to dance only with your partner, that’s totally fine too.

What is the difference between a Leader and a Follower?

  • Leader: Initiates movements.
  • Follower: Responds to the leader’s cues.

Our classes are gender-neutral and LGBTQ+ inclusive. You can choose any role you prefer. For better learning, we recommend sticking to your chosen role for at least six months. After that, you can always switch and learn both parts!

How long does it take to get good at Salsa or Bachata?

  • 0 - 2 months: You’ll follow the beginner syllabus and dance a full song.
  • 2 - 6 months: You’ll recognize key instruments and start dancing more dynamically.
  • 6 months - 1 year: You’ll refine coordination between hands, feet, rhythm, and lead/follow techniques.
  • 1 year+: You’ll continue honing and perfecting your skills.

This assumes regular, consistent practice without breaks.

What’s the difference between Group Classes, Private Lessons, and Socials?

  • Group Classes: Structured lessons with multiple students.
  • Private Lessons: One-on-one (or small group) personalized training.
  • Socials: Dance events where you practice in a real setting!

How do social dance nights help?

They’re the fastest way to improve! You’ll get real-time practice, dance with different people, and build confidence. Plus, they’re fun and a great way to meet new friends.
